A.R. Whittingham Pty. Ltd. is a family business in its 3rd generation. Initially started as a french polishing business by Reg Whittingham in 1946, when it was known as R.W. Whittingham Pty. Ltd.
The business stayed true to French Polishing through out Reg's time at the helm, and it wasn't until after his son Ken took it over in 1979 that a trend towards protective coatings was established. Once the company became known as K.J. Whittingham Pty. Ltd. it became evident that furniture spray painting was on the increase, so much so that the K.J. Whittingham Pty. Ltd. no longer opperated as a traditional French Polisher.
By the time Ken's son Anthony (Tony) took over in 1993, the company was no longer providing a french polishing service. The business now known as A.R. Whittingham Pty. Ltd. was and still is aimed at Spray Finishes.
Presently employing 5 staff, this Australian Owned and operated family business is continuing to grow and diversify. Looking toward the future the company has expanded towards glass coatings and application of liquid metal using MAD METAL technology, allowing A.R. Whittingham Pty. Ltd. to provide all your spray finishing needs.
